The new owner of this unit built in 1988, wanted to bring a fresh and contemporary look to it. Muted greys, beiges and timber, against white benchtop and walls, made for a refreshing change to the compact, yet highly functional, U-shape kitchen.
The addition of a generous pantry with inner-drawers offered a perfect solution for housing the microwave and other small appliances, as well as creating a handy place for breakfast and snack items.
Similarly, the bathroom was carefully curated to invoke a sense of relaxed elegance, and a similar colour palette to the kitchen was used to add to the sense of flow in the unit. The semi-recessed bath was a great space saving solution to create a bathing area, where both the shower and the bath happily co-exist. The designer added a ledge-wall so as to be able to accommodate extra storage by way of the shaving cabinet behind the round mirror. A transitional look floating vanity in pretty grey completes the look.
The laundry area was also taken from dull, to stunning, by the use of more practical dark cabinetry and eye-catching penny-round tiled splashback.
