Delicious Dessert: Strawberry Marsala Delight

Cooler nights are perfect for this warm dessert.

Strawberry Marsala Delight


3 punnets strawberries
1 litre water
1 cup sugar
zest of 1 lemon


4 egg yolks
4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup marsala


1. Rinse and hull strawberries
2. Add water, sugar and zest to a large saucepan
3. Boil 5 minutes
4. Add strawberries
5. Cook for 1 minute
6. Strain
7. Place in serving bowls


1. Whisk egg yolks, sugar and marsala in a bowl over simmering water till frothy and heated
2. Pour around strawberries.

Serve immediately.
